BIOGRAPHY

Salma Habash Chaarani is a Syrian artist, based in Limassol, Cyprus.

Chaarani uses her watercolor and charcoal drawings as an important reference to guide her work. In her latest series, she begins her painting without the end result in mind, to follow the creative process throughout its bumpy or smooth stages, letting the painting unfold slowly and continuously. In her work, elements from nature and daily life are echoed in rich colors and animated brushwork.

Chaarani received a BA in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus (2007). Since then, she has been on a journey to explore the inner mechanism of her creative consciousness.
